Halloween in Rojales 2026: What's On and What to Expect
Rojales' Halloween is centred on the Malecón del Soto. Here is what the town council has staged in recent years, where to check the 2026 programme, and what is happening nearby.
Halloween in Rojales has become one of the fixed dates in the town's autumn calendar, and it happens in one place: the Malecón del Soto. If you live in Rojales or Ciudad Quesada, or you are thinking of moving here, this is the night when the town turns out with the children in costume.
The 2026 programme: not published yet
As of 18 October 2026, the Ayuntamiento de Rojales had not yet published a Halloween programme for this year on its festivities news page [1]. That is not unusual: last year's line-up was only reported publicly on 30 October, the day before the event itself [2]. So expect the details to appear in the final week or two of the month, and check the council site rather than social media rumours.
What Halloween usually looks like in Rojales
The 2025 edition gives a good picture of what to expect. The council put on a free programme for children, young people and families on 31 October at the Malecón del Soto, starting in the late afternoon (17:30 in 2025) [9], with:
a Pasaje del Terror (haunted walk-through) - craft workshops and children's make-up - a performance by the Sofía Sánchez dance school - a play staged by the municipal theatre school Alberto González Vergel - a pumpkin-decorating workshop run with the collaboration of Huergur [2][7]
The Fiestas councillor, Jesús Martínez, described Halloween in Rojales as "consolidated as a date awaited by residents and visitors", and the council also encourages residents and shops to decorate their houses and windows to fill the streets with atmosphere [2]. Earlier editions followed the same formula: in 2021 the Cultura and Fiestas departments organised a túnel del terror and activities aimed at the youngest children [6].
Nearby, if you want more than one night out
Torrevieja has not published its 2026 Halloween programme yet either; the one confirmed date so far is AQUELARRE [8]. - Benijófar held its BeniArte craft and charity fair, with a Halloween costume competition, on 11 October 2026, so that one has already passed this year [4].
Practical tips
Halloween here is an outdoor, family-first evening rather than a late-night club scene, so go early with children and bring a layer — October evenings on the Vega Baja cool down quickly. If you plan to eat afterwards, book a table in Ciudad Quesada before you head to the Malecón, as the popular places fill up on the night.
